She completed the Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway at California State University, San Bernardino. She received a M.S. in Nutrition from Bastyr University in 2013, and graduated from UCLA in 2011 with a B.S. in Neuroscience with a self-defined focus on behavioral neuroscience and psychobiology.
Her favorite areas of nutrition are integrative and functional medicine, ethnic and immigrant populations, obesity and its related diseases, behavioral health, neurological and developmental disorders, whole foods nutrition, intuitive eating, and community outreach.
She loves the art of science, and believes that science education is essential to teaching people to think differently and giving them the tools to explore and understand their curiosities – an essential skill to have as our world becomes curiouser and curiouser.
Aside from the sciences, she loves to nourish her passion for wellness and integrative and functional medicine. She believes that preventative medicine is best medicine, and strongly advocates community outreach.
Her philosophy for a healthful life: Balance. Think well. Nourish yourself. Share what you have. Love always.
